Christina M. Benevides, O.D.
Christina M. Benevides, OD is an Optometrist specializing in primary eye care, ocular disease management, and specialty contact lens fitting. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry, and completed her undergraduate studies in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology at Rhode Island College.
Dr. Benevides has a special interest in dry eye management, pre and post-operative care for cataract and LASIK patients, and fitting of specialty contact lenses including scleral and rigid gas permeable lenses. Her expertise includes diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases, comprehensive eye examinations, and bilingual patient care in both English and Spanish. Prior to becoming an optometrist, she spent over a decade as an ophthalmic technician, building extensive experience in clinical procedures including refractions, tonometry, and LASIK pre-operative testing.
Dr. Benevides is licensed in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, holding a Therapeutic RX amplified Glaucoma License. She is committed to building an optometric practice that provides exceptional eye care to her community.
