Eye Plastic Surgery, also called Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery or Oculoplastic Surgery, is a subspecialty of Ophthalmology that deals with the evaluation and treatment of deformities, abnormalities and trauma of the eyelids, lacrimal or tear structures, bony orbit and the adjacent facial areas and overlying skin and soft tissue. He provides evaluation and treatment of adults and children with disorders of the eyelids and eye sockets including incorrect positioning of the eyelids called Entropion or Ectropion, droopy eyelids called Ptosis, fractures, inflammation and other conditions of the bony orbit, as well as evaluation and treatment of the tear drainage system.
