Robert J. Vergnani, M.D. - Ophthalmologist Emeritus at Center for Sight in Massachusetts and Rhode Island

Robert J. Vergnani, M.D. is an Emeritus Comprehensive Ophthalmologist who was in active practice at Center for Sight for more than 35 years. Dr. Vergnani is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.  He completed his residency training at the Albany Center Hospital in Albany and for the next two years he was Chief of Ophthalmology at Walson Army Hospital in Fort Dix, New Jersey.

Dr. Vergnani provided general eye care in Fall River for many years, with a special interest in the treatment of glaucoma. Prior to his retirement from active medical and surgical eye care, he was well known throughout the patient and eye care community in the South Coast area and greater providence Rhode Island.
