Fatima Raposo, O.D.

Fatima Raposo, O.D. is the senior optometrist in Fall River at Center for Sight, Inc. since 1997. Dr. Raposo’s clinical management skills can provide patients with primary comprehensive eye care including but not limited to diabetes, cataracts and strabismus. She is especially focused in working closely with Center for Sight’s fellowship trained corneal specialist Dr. Paul Botelho in treating corneal disorders such as keratoconus and corneal transplants with specialty contact lenses. She is also well versed in multifocal and spherical contact lenses.

Dr. Raposo is licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island where she holds therapeutic privileges including the treatment of Glaucoma.

She is a graduate of Salve Regina College and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in 1997.

Dr. Raposo is a staff Optometrist at the VA Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island where she hold privileges as an adjunct clinical instructor for the New England College of Optometry, Illinois College of Optometry, Pennsylvania College of Optometry and The University of Montreal, Quebec.  Due to Dr. Raposo’s passion about optometry, she has been instrumental in the growth of the mentoring program of Optometry students.

Dr. Raposo is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Rhode Island Optometric Association since 1993. She currently holds the post of Immediate- Past President of the Executive Board of the RIOA where she has been actively involved since 1998. In her spare time Dr. Raposo enjoys volunteering in local charities, gardening, traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
