Cristina Lopes, O.D.

Cristina Lopes, O.D. joined Center for Sight in 2001.  Currently seeing patients in the Fall River office, she specializes in providing complete family eye care, including glasses, emergency visits, and comprehensive eye exams which screen for diabetes, cataracts, and glaucoma.  Dr. Lopes also fits the latest in contact lens technology including spherical, toric, and multifocal contact lenses.

Dr. Lopes graduated with honors from Rhode Island College in 1996 with a B.A. in Biology, and earned her Doctorate of Optometry from The New England College of Optometry in 2000.  In addition, Dr. Lopes has studied the Portuguese language for six years and is able to read, write, and speak fluent Portuguese. 

Dr. Lopes is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, holding therapeutic privileges in both states.  She is a member of both the American Optometric Association, and the Rhode Island Optometric Association.  In her spare time, Dr. Lopes enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with her husband traveling and experiencing the local Portuguese culture and heritage at the local Portuguese community center near her home.
